Big Crowd Attends Country Jamboree in Orono The Orono Jamboree drew another large crowd this past Sunday afternoon. The House Band of Fay Adams and The Country Hits started the show off in good style and also provided the show backup music for the entertainers that appeared on the show. Mark and Michelle Leggette of Campbellcroft a young brother and sister team drew large applaus from the crowd as did their Father Bill who also sang very well. Tim Toye from Orono sang several songs that -would make you sit back and thînk it was Roy Clark. This was Tim's first appearance on the Jamboree and I'm sure it won't be the last. Albert Guay and the Ridge- runners featuring Marna and Papa Fern were a big hit when they sang some newer songs and also played some real toe tappin' fiddle tunes. They also played some mandoline tunes to round out their part of the show. Len Somerscales and Joe Howe played some instrum- entais during the show and everyone showed their feel- ings with a large round of applause. >Fay, Glory and Don Adams finished with the show with several bluegrass 'tunes that showed to be a real crowd pleaser. A real good job done by Don on the banjo.
