At the reception and dance held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Morton, a cousin of the bride, the bride's mother wore a formai gown of sea blue georgette and a yellow -orchid corsage. The groom's mother wore a formai gown of beige chiffon and wristlet of coral Sweetheart roses. Guests were present from Texas, Maryland, Pennsyl- vania, Toronto, Owen Sound, Peterborough, Woodville, Orono and surrounding area. Showers were given in the bride's honor by Mrs. Leona Wilson, at her home, with co-hostesses Mary Forrest and Norma Ransberry. The l5th annual 'Meeting of Cobourg Presbyterial is February 2nd at Brighton at 9:30 a.m. On Wednesday afternoon the executive meeting of the United Church Women was held at Mr. and Mrs. M. Gardiner's home. A good turn out. Our new presid ent Mrs. Ken- Trew presided., Mrs. N. 'Gardiner is the new secretary. World's Day of Prayer was discussed. It is our turn to have the service. We ordered the leaflets. The president, secretary, and one delegate from each unit will be appointed to attend the Rally at Brighton. We plan to have our March meeting in the afternoon on the l6th. Our dune 21 and September 30th in the eveliing and our Decemiber one at 10:30 a.mi. We set our strawberry supper for July 6th. Mrs. Riches is o ur new social convenor and we voted $300 toward more dishes, silverware, etc. which she is to purchase. It was also decided that ahl members bring a tea towel with Garden Hill mark- ed on it at each unit meeting in the next month. Our March general meeting is missionary and Garden Hill has the lunch. No lunch was served as our meeting began with dessert and coffee. Mr. Tom Wood isspending a few days convalescing with his brother Mr. A. Wood, Oshawa. Mrs. Lorny Cann is. in Peterboro hospital.
