Lionettes Meeting The Newcastle Lionettes met at the home of Mrs. Irene, Cunningham 'on Thursday evening, April l4th. Lionette President Kathleen Stephen- son welcomed 15 members and one guest. During the business period. the president informed the members that Memorial Hospital received an acupunctoscape machine for the therapy department whicb the Club are purchasing for them. The booth for the upcoming Lions Carnival was discussed. It was decided to have a draw on two lawn chairs this year. Town of Newcastle fire chief Jim Hayman said the fire broke out at a garage owned by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Chamberlain. The building was the former Star Lunch Counter on Highway Two. Damage to the building was estimated at $3,500 and Chief Hayman said that rafters plus the roof would have to be replaced. OBI1TUAr ÀRYl DOROTHY COLLISON The death occurred of Dorothy Collison, aged 61, on Thursday, April l4th, 1977 in Memorial Hospital, Bowmnan- ville. The former Dorothy Wood- cock, she was the wife of Harry Collison and a resident at R.R. 2, Newcastle. Surviving are hér husband, Harry, sons, Paul of New- castle and Ron of Oshawa and a daugbter Marlene of Bow- manville. Reverend David,,Spivey, Newcastle, officiated at the services held on Saturday, at the Morris Funerai Chapel, Mrs. Albert Cole presided at the organ. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.
