GM Sales Hi«wgh hiApi General Motors dealers in Canada delivered 47,913 pas- senger cars and trucks during April, the second highest April in GM's history, Richard M. Colcomb, Vice President and General Sales Manager, an- nounced today. Truck deliveries of 12,236 in April were second only to last year's all-tirne higli of 14,200. Passenger car deliveries of 35,677 during the rnonth also represented a second best April;' 10.4 per cent behind last April's record 39,800 delive- ries. "Sales of passenger cars and trucks for the first four months of the 1977 calendar year are both, at record levels," said Mr. Colcomb. Passeniger car deliveries of 129,432 for the calendar year- to-date top the former record pace set in 1976, by 14.2 per cent. Truck deliveries of 49,860 for the first four montlis of 1977 are also at an ail-time higli, 7.7 per cent above last year, the previous record for this perîod. "We are confident the high level of demand for General Motors cars and trucks will continue througliout the sum- mer," Mr. Colcornb said. OBITUARY MILDRED LELA COLLACUTT A life member of the U.C.W., Mildred Lela Colla- cutt, passed away in Memor- ial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, May 4th, 1977 following a two montli's ill- ness. She was in her 87th year. Daugliter of William and Charlotte Westlake, she was born, and educated at Solina. On September 14, 1918, she was married to Leslie H. Collacutt. A resîdent of RHR. 6 Bow- manville, for 45 years, she had also been a resident of the Salem Community. Mrs. Collacutt was a mem- - 1
