Agricultural Representative 4-H Results-Orono Fair' Again this year, a number of County 4-H Clubs held their annual Achievement Days in conjunction with the Durham Central.Fair in Orono Septem- ber 9 and 1oth. The Durham 4-H Rabbit Club held their Achievement Day on Friday, September 9th. Ten members exhibited their projects for the judges and the placings were as follows: In thé Junior Section, Dave Mason of Blackstock was lst, while Leslie and Melanie Perry, Ron Powell, Daryl Purdy and Mark Wagler were in the 2nd prize group. In the 4-H Field Club Section, first place in the corn silage class went to Don Prins, Hampton, with second going to Clarence Prins, third to George Sikma and fourth to Lawrence VanCamp. In the cob corn section, Greg Wight of Bowmanville placed first and the second going to Kevin Crago, third to Kevin Taylor and fourth to Keith Barrie. In the spring grain class, Bruce Milson of Enniskillen with an exhibit of barley placed first, the second being a tie between Dennis and Wayne Yellowlees of Enniskillen. Bruce Brown of Newcastle and Walter Vice of Enniskillen were each given first place ribbons for haylage and hay samples respectively. The Durham 4-H Sheep Club, under the leadership of Jim Coombes, had two classes at Orono Fair. The first was the Fleece Class and this was won by John Ayre of R.R. 4 Bowmanville, with second going to Barry VanCamp, third to DJq'ug Larmer and fourth to Caroline Camna- ghan. n the Fat Lamb Class, first place again went to John Ayre, with second going to Annette Taylor of Ennîskillen, third to Francine Taylor and fourth to Bob Turner of Bowmanville. A total of 34 4-Hl Dairy Club members paraded their calvesfor judge, Neil Raines, Sunderland. In the, Junior Dairy Showmanship Class, first place went to Leanne VanCamp of Blackstock with second going to Elaine Sikma of Orono. Thîrd place went to Bruce Brown of Newcastle -and fourth went to Fred Prins of Hampton. In the Senior Showmanship Class, first place was taken by Paul Larmer of Blackstock, second by Bruce Snowden of Enniskil- len, thîrd went to Cynthia Budd of Port Hope and fourth to Evelyn DeVries of Bow- manville. There were fine entries in the Junior Hostein Caîf Class with first place going to Valerie VanCamp of Blackstock, second to David DeVries of Bowmanville, third to Fred Prins of Hampton and fourth to Kevin Taylor of Enniskillen.
