On T'hanksgivýing Sunday riorning eloudy weather pre- vailed outdoors but cýosy warmth inside and the plea- sanit countenance along with the inspiring message of our guest speaker, Dawn Vaneyk, fuifilled the anticipation of the 80 folks who gathered for worship at the Sunday morn- ing service. Our minister's children's story "Thanks- giving Arîthmetic'" was a minister's lesson to a littie boy on counting his blessîngs. Ourj organist Ulah Chambers and her Senior Choirý gave a deiightful rendition of the Anthem.,1 Our Song of Thanksgivîng.1 We were.priviieged to have a( charming young lady from our1 sister congregation at Tyrone attend as a delegate the First Youth Forum at the 27th Annual of General Council of the U.C. held at Calgary in August who shared with us her "Adventure in the Foothilîs" as she gave a marvellous report of hier experience as she 'described- each day's program from breakfast timeý at 7 a.m., worship, drama, values, discussions,, presenta- tions, reports, gamnes, real, faith stories in lîfe. She stressed that the church and each of us is a part of the movement and the youth of the day are the church of tomorrow. Dawn's collection of snapshots added greatly to her informative talk. Along with the presentation of the offering, members of the congregation were invited te bring forward and lay before the altar their tokens of personal or family thankful- ness, to be dedicated along with the Thankoffering envel- opes. Notice for this coming week is Wednesday, the Youth Group, Guys and Dolis had their meeting at 7 p.m. in the S.S. room. They also had a Blitz Canvass of the village for the Blind and they wish to say thanks for the generous and co-operative support they' received. On Tuesday, October 4th the Enniskillen Peak-A-Boos met for our fifth meeting at the Church. Mrs. Brenda Milîs was our guest and demon- strated make-u.p on several of our girls. Pamphlets were handed out about skin care makeup application. The girls learned alot about her demon- stration. Their first goal was scored by Mark Hickey on a fine display of stickhandling as he bent'three Lindsay defenders and deked the goalie before sliding the puck into the open net. Toros second goal came at 2:35 as Jay Kelly pulled the trigger completing a. fine three way passing play. Assists on the play went to Danny Moriarity and Kelly Balson. Lindsay replied once more at 5:37 to make the score 3-2. D&R Sports got the final goal of the game at the nine minute mark when Mark Hickey got his second goal on a set-up from Paul Herron.
