The Newtonville Women's Institute Christmas meeting was held at the home of Mrs. B. Stephenson on Wednesday, December 14, and President Amelia Lancaster opened with a reading on Christmas, followed by the Ode, and the Mary Stewart Collect. Secty. -Treas. Madeline Buckley read the report of last meeting, and -the financial statement duly accepted on motion, as read. Solina WLI. are holding a 75the~nniversary on, Janttary 14 and Vice Pres. Betnice Milligan and Secty,,.-Treas. Madeline Buckley are invîted to, attend, both having re- ceived tickets. A card of congratulations is to be sent from our Branch. On Monday evening, December 12, sixteen nurses of the Bowmanville Area Nurses' Association enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Heritage House, Bowmanville followed by a social evening at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Werry.
