10 Thle Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville, Januarv 4. 1'q78 YELVERTON (Y ntended,, for last week) Christmas celebrations have corne and gone and once again we missed our opportu- nity to express Season's Greetings so will make amends by wishing any who may stumble across, through or over our Yelverton column the best 1977 ever in peace, health and happiness coupled with ample prosperity., Christmas as per usual was a family affair with the majority of folks unsuc- cessfully fighting the Battie of the Bulge as in-laws vie with out-laws to provide the mouth watering delicacies common to the season. Some of the festive activi- ties that were held in our community were as follows:- Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter of Pembroke divided their holi- days between the Fred Staceys and the Hunters in Lindsay. They shared Christ- mas with the Stacey family near Keene with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Eggleton and family. Also present was Janice's sister Tina and family of Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Malcolm hosted their own family on Christmas day - Mr., and Mrs. Paul Bowen, Miss Darlene Malcolm of Edmonton - holidaying with hier parents for two weeks, Valerie and Lana.
