ETTA M. PIGGOTT A resident of Oshawa for 47 years, who formerly lived in Bridgen, Ont., Mrs. Etta M. Piggott died at the Oshawa General Hospital, Sunday, February 26th, 1978. She had been in failing health for the past six months. She llved at 131 Grandview St. S.!Oshawa. The former Etta M. Walker was born February 19, 1897 at Brigden, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Walker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Miss Marguerite Piggott of Oshawa, Mrs. Donald Sandford (Grace) of Whitby and Mrs. Donald Wilhite (Jeanette) of River- side, Calif., a son James A, Piggott of Bowmanville, two sisters Mrs'. Winnifred McGregor of Petrolia, Mrs. Gladys Sexton of Courtright, Ont., il grandchildren and il great grandchildren.' Three brothers Robert, James and Freeman died before lher. Mrs. Piggott rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa. Service was held in the chapel Wednesday. Interment in Mount Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Handysides and Pastor David Toop officiated. MRS. GRETA FLORENCE SYTNYK Mrs. Greta Florence Sytnyk died suddenly at hier resi- dence, 191 Meadow Rd., Whitby, Friday, February 24th, 1978. The former Greta Florence Clement was born April 23, 1923, in Haliburton, a daughter of Mrs. Mae Clement and the late Garfield Clement. A resident of the Oshawa area for 18 yeats, she was a member of Rossland Road Methodist Church. ' She is survived by hier husband, William Sytnyk; hier mother, Mrs. Mae Clement of Haliburton; two daughters, Mrs. William Warburton (Kenza) of Oshawa and Mrs. Jackie Cameron (Raylene) of Port Perry; three sons, Michael McClean of Port Perry, David McClean of Oshawa, Roland (Butch) McClean of Calgary, two stepsons, Barry Sytnyk of Pontypool, and Allan'Sytnyk of Oshawa; a stepdaughter, Linda Sytnyk of Oshawa; three sisters, Mrs.ý Brian Henderson (Elsie), Mrs. John Gibson, (Audrey) and Mrs. Anne Stone, of Oshawa, four brothers, William of Port Perry, Kenneth, John and Léonard Clement, all of Oshawa; and nine grandchild- ren. Mrs. Sytnyk rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa. Service was held in the chapel Tuesday. Inter- ment Mount Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Keith Elford officiated. Memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated. ERNEST M.J. MIOORCRAFT Ernest M.J. Moorcraft, second son of a well known Bowmanville family, died on Wednesday, March lst, 1978, in Toronto, following a lengthy illness. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Moor- craft (nee Dora E. Malone). He was predeceased by his wife Ruby (Vaughan) in 1970. Ernest was educated in Bowmanville Public and High Schools. On leaving school hie worked several. years in the office at General Motors, Oshawa. 13 years in the Royal Bank,' several years with the Globe and Mail, and with the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., Sudbury. Enlisting in 1939, he spent Christmas on water, and New Years in England. Awarded the D.C. in English, hie spent
