Wben Manvers Township displays its talents at the Arts and Crafts Show in the new Manvers Arena in June, one of tbe many- truly interesting displays will be, by Shirley Scott. For the past five years, Shirley and ber husband George bave been raising their own sheep on Manvers l2tb. line, breeding many exciting varieties to produce different types of wool and dyingit, using natural weeds and vegetables to produce many delightful soft shades.. Dûring the past year, Shirley bas also taken by weaving and bas made several bags, scarves, et cetera. The Scotts have two daugbters, Allison and- Peggy, both of wbom share their motber's interest in spinning and weaving'and have demonstrated their craft with ber at the Lindsay and Port Perry museums -and in, Toronto. Mrs. Scott bas taught spinning and weaving to the students at Grrandview School as well. In ber spare time, this busy lady also tans ides, tol make fuor rugs. When the doo 1rs open at 1 p.m. each day of this' event of the Victoria Spring Festival of the Arts, this is one of the featured displays not to be missed.
