While in Salt Lake City, the Buckley's and Murphy's had a surprise when they met the Sid Lancaster party who travelld to Arizona. It is a small world! Anglican Churcb News Rev. Grant Schwartz of Whitby was guest minister at the Sunday Services at St. George's Anglican Church, Newcastle. The Anglican Church Women's Deanery Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at St. John's Church, Bowmanville. At the St. George's Day April 23rd Service at 11:15 a.m. in St. George's Anglican Church, Newcastle, a stained glass window in memory of the Lovekin family,_prepared by Mr. Briffett, will be installed in the vestibule. United Church News At the Newcastle United Churcb on Sunday, April 16, Rev. David Spivey preached a sermon on According to My Gospel. The Frayer for this week is: Help me to see that only when my relationship with you is my own, O Lord, can it be truly fulfilling. The Hi C Club held a beef supper for the Hi C members on Sunday night. U.C.W. Meeting On Monday evening, Apnil 10, Units One and Three met in the Sunday School Hall with Mrs. Jean Rickard conducting the meeting. Since such an interesting meeting bad been planned 23 members were present and 10 visitors from Unit Two. Mrs. Rickard welcomed ahl and since April is Cancer Month, read William Wordsworth's Daffodils. After the business period, the Devotional was presented by Mrs. Jean Rickard, Mrs. Carla Foote and Mrs. Eva Coucb with Easter and the Resurrection as the theme. Mrs. Ann Spivey introduced the guest artists, Mr. and Mrs. Bolam of Oshawa. Mr. Bolam's presentation of flower slides, along witb suitable meaningful Scripture verses and accompanying music, were truly beautiful. Mr. Bolam has achieved great skill in his hobby of photo- graphy for the wild and cultivated flowers were perfect specimens. After this presentation, Mrs. Bolam played bier fourteen belîs. In introducing bier several selections, she related that the belîs bad been in hier family for 70 years baving been bought by hier grandfather, Ralph Colwill Braund, fromn a travelling Evangelist. Her grandfather was born in a log cabin near the site of the present Hole in the Wall. Mrs. Jean Rickard thanked the entertainers and a. delicious lunch was served by the group in charge.
