Kirk Kemp bas just scored on Steve Baker's rebound to start a brief comback for the Eagles. Note the dejected look on that Essex defender just ahead of their goalie. Eagles lost the game 7 to 4 but hope for better things this weekend when they play the next two games in Essex for the Ontario Junior C championship. Mauy Brown sNovices End Sooeasot London The Mary Br-own's Novices competed in theSouth London Tournament on April 15-16 in L. round robin affair which turned out to be settled by goals as three teams ended Up tied for first place. In the opening game, the Taros were beaten by Grimsby 2-1. In the first period, the Grimsby team scored to put them in fron't 1-0. In the second, Chris Beck scored, assisted by David Fairey ta tie the game. Late in the Ihird period, Grimsby scored when the Taras were short handed to win the game. In the second game, the Toros beat Tillsonburg 5-0. In the first period, Shawn Rekker opened the scoring with Barry Oliver and Chrîs Beck getting the assists. In the second DeriodChris Beck scored with Bobby McArthur gaining an assist and Brad Carnegie scored from Glen Campbell. In the third period, Chris Beck scored fram Cory Sweet and then Scotty Burns scored from Mike Gallant. In this game David Smith earned the shut- out. In the third garne, the Taras beat South London who turned out ta be the eventual winners because they scored tvio more goals then the -Toros in the tournament. In the first period, the Toros scored three goals and were really flying. Scoring goals for the Taras were Cary Sweet, Chris Beck and Glen Campbell. Gaining assists were Chris Beck (2), and Brad Carnegie. In the second and third period, the Taras let up and tired quickly ta let the other team score three goals in the last period. Scaring for the Taras in the last perîad was Cary Sweet with Chris Beck getting the assist., This was the last game for the Taras who laed a great' year, winning 40, lasing 18 and tying il.
