Stephen has the problemn that Smany husbands do, of confusing their married friends' names. Stephen unfortunately invited his frîend Barney to dinner and Jo invited Barney's wife with her new boyfriend Alex. Peter Zednik and Marjorie Sutton play the men's and women's parts respectively at top speed for a rollicking climax to the evening's entertainment. Paul Spencer, a Whitby Theatre Company regular, directed the actors whose lightning costume changes left them and the audience breathless. The back stage show would have been more astonishing as wigs were donned and removed and pants with broken zipper exchanged. Although the audience was small, they were appreciative. Even the set changes were hilarjous as actors and directors became stage hands and removed a mattress with bed boards that were to become Roman columns and later hammered a table leg into place. Marjorie Sutton, the theatre's founder and artistie director of this production, wonders what it takes to motivate people. The publicity for this comedy written by Michael Frayn was good. The last production, "Dangerous Corner" had the good fortune tir of bringing many theatre- ew goers who were fellow- teachers of some of the actors. alWord or mouth also spread the good word and audiences increased nightly.
