At Peterborough an July 22 Ross Hall and Brian Hughes, two young, bowlers with limited experience but lots of skill, won the Gea Coleman Trophy with a total score of 57 for three games. In the samne tournament Clarence Oke and Les Langs won the prize for second high two-game winner with a score of 47. The next day the samne redoubtable senior pair won the same prize in the tournament for the Harry Norton Trophy in Lindsay with the same score. How's that for consistency? Then came Wednesday, July 26, and the local tourna- ment for mixed pairs sponsored by the Carter F'amily who last year presented a new trophy ta replace one that was ready for honorable retirement after serving for over 20 years. I'here was another full complement of 16 teams and when the dew began ta fail and the masquitoes ta bite around 9:30 p.m. Dorathy Carter Oke had the pleasure of presenting the trophy and first prize ta ler husband Clarence aad his >artner, Mabel Mavin, with a total score of 59 plus 9.
