August 16. 1978 OBITUARI GEORGE MILTON KIMBALL Well known and highly respected, George Milton Kimbali, aged 64, passed away in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Tuesday, JuIIy 25th, 1978. He had been ili for 17 days. Son of Milton and Winifred Kimbali, hie was born in Clarke Township, and attend- ed Port Granby Public and reewcastle High Schools. On June 7th, 1941 hie was married to Kathleen McKay. Employed as a maintenance man with General Motors of Canada for 28 years, hie had retired two and a half years ago. A resident of Newcastle for 30 years, hie had previously resided in Newtonville. A member of the Newcastle United Church, hie nad also served as a trustee with the church. He was secretary- treasurer of the Bowling Alley. Left to mourn- his passing are is wife Kathleen, and a daughter Joan (Mrs. Dan Norton). Mr. Kimbail rested at the Morris Funeral Chapel until services1 on Friday in New- castle United Church with the Reverend David Spivey offi- ciating. A nephew, Fred Graham presided at the organ. Pail-bearers were Bill and Bob Kimbaîl, Ted and Doug Cooper, Fred Graham and Phil Gilmner. Floral offerings were re- ceived fromn General Motors of Canada, the 'Lberal Associa- tion, relatives and friends. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Newtonviile. ALICE MAY QUINNEY Ill for three weeks, Alice May Quinney, aged 77, died on Monday, August 7th, 1978, in Memorial Hospital, Bowman- ville. Coming to Canada in 1911, she was born in England, in Loughborough, County of Leicester, and was the daughter of Walter and Clara Gwilliam. Educated in Lough- borough and Canada, she was marriedDecember 6th, 1923 to Cyril W. Quinney. A resident of Bowmanville for 31 years, she had resided in Newcastle, the past 23 years. She was a member of the Christadeiphian Assembly. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Morris Funeral Chapel with Mr. Robert Stapley officiating. Surviving are Mrs. Win. Sellers, (June), Mrs. Murray Adams (Ada) and Cyril of Bowmanville, Mrs. Harvey Partner (Bernice) Orono, Mrs. Terry Evans (Margaret) Port Hlope, Fred Okanogan Falls, B.C., Howard of New- castle, 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Paîl-bearers were hier grandsons Rod Sellters, Greg Adams, Harvey Partner, Larry Quinney, Dan Quinney and nephew Percy Gwilliam. Many beautiful floral trilutes were received, in hier miemory, attesting to the esteem in which the deceased was held. Among these were offerings from the Newton- ville Women's Institute, New- castle Senior Ctizens Club, Newcastle Horticultural Society, Monday Euchre Club, J. Anderson Smith Co., Bell Canada, Traffic Dept., Wilmot Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Newtonville Women's Institute, Orono Hydro-Commission and Employees,, Ministry of Transport and Communica- tions Employees, Christadel- phian Assembly. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Police Seek Information Police said the pedestrian was seen getting out of an unknown vehicle, possibly a truck, on the eastbound lane of Highway 401 sometime prior to 9:05 p.m. Anyone who may have further information on the accident is asked to contact the OPPs Newcastle detach- ment 'at 623-3384.
