Ajax opened very quickly with a goal at the two minute mark when Kevin Latcbford rammed home a pass from Russel Roy. Just five minutes later it was Latchford again, assisted by Aaren Butt. After a minute and one second of the second perîod the Toros got one back as Chuck Nash scored from Chris Michelson at the 4:31 mark, Bowmïanville tied the score on a goal by Scott Heard assisted by Raymond Cummings and Deryk Clark. The visitors from Ajax, made it three to two when Kevîn McDonald scored from La tchford with 1: 15 left in the second period. Ajax scored again this time on a goal by Derek Haydon, assisted by Peter Candler and Kevin McDonald. The Toros scored their third goal at the 10:23 mark of the final period when Deryk Clark scored unassisted. The Toros played well enough to win this game by just having bad luck around the net. Both Toros goaltenders played very well. as both Donny Hayes and George Kennett made many difficult saves.
