During the evening, Jim Bourke of The Dutchman presented Splash's Barbara Hicks with a cheque for $1,000, honoring a pledge made earlier, and also turned over $151 in receipts from the $1 charged for admission on Friday and Saturday nights. One of the features of the new lounge was a disco dance demonstration by W. B. Chancey and his partner Lynn Duffili. Durha M Coll01ege President W ill aiS tay on Job U ntil 1980 Because of chang ing educa- tional priorities, Durham College's Presidýent, Dr. Gordon Willey has been asked by his Board of Governors to defer retirement until June 1, 1980 and he bas agreed to do so. At that timne Dr. Willey will have served the College for more than 13 years, having been appointed President at the College's inception la March of 1967.' Factors demanding atten- tion over the next two years are College adjustment to an imminent new funding system as well as gearing college programs to meet a signifi- cant growvth pattera in enroîl- ment. Under Dr. Willey's leadership the College bas grown from a post secondary enrolîmeat of 203 students to more than 1400 this faîl.
