Bowmanville won the game, defeating the Peterborough "AAA" Major Atoms 3-1 in a somewhat lacklustre contest. The Torns opened thA. Less than two minutes later Markbam scor- ed on a power play with a blistering shot from the point wbîch proved to be the final marker of the game. For this game Bowmanville was playing witbout the services of two of its centre- men. The Toros came to life ia the 'second period when they bombarded the Cobourg net but were able to save on three goals with Roger Hornsby blasted a shot from the point wbile Robert Geidlinger and Scott Heard drew assists. Ray Cumming made it 3 to 0 when he stickhandled through the defence and then drew out the goaltender before slipping it home. Chuck Nash and Robert Geidlinger drawing assists. At the 11.22 mark Robert Geidlnger made it 4 to 0 while Ray Cumming and Doug Brown picked up assists. The Toros made it 5 to 0 at the 3.11 mark when Scott Heard scored bis second goal of the game with Chris Michelson and Deryk Clark picking up assist. The Toros waited until the final tbree minutes of the game to finish off their scoring. Lt was Davy Brown scoriftg unassisted after carryiiig the puck through the Cobourg team. Robert Geidlinger scored his second goal of the game at the 14.56 mark with Gord Rogers picking up the assists. Deryk Clark rounded out the scoring wi th just 31 seconds left in the game while Danny Weir picked up the assists.
