Elmhurst Atoms Beat Orono by R. Pearce This game started off slowly as the first period ended in a scoreless tie. In the second period the Elmhurst Players continued to pass the puck and play positional hockey, which Orono just couldn't handle any longer. At 13:23 of the second period, Jeff Breen scored on a pass from Chris Pearce and the boys never looked back. Scott Todd then scored, assist- ed by Chris Pearce, to leave the Elmhurst boys with a 2-0 lead after two periods. In the third period, the players showed the coaches that they are listening in practice, as they continued their sound hockey that they are capable of playing. Jeff Breen scored his second goal on a pass from Troy DeVries. Then the brother act took place as Scott and Jamie Todd raced for the puck. Jamie picked it up and passed it to brother Scott, who put it in, to make it 4-0 for Newcastle. Jamie Todd rubbed it in a bit as he scored on a pass from Craig Mackey for a final score of 5-0. Both goalies Steve Hill and Mark Cameron made several excellent saves, to earn their second shutout of the year. If this team keeps playing like they did this game, they could very well go unbeaten the rest of the year. Newcastle Community Bowl- ing Youth 125 and Over T. Sluymers 133, J. Beam 139, 156, B.
