Mrs. Carole Pockey is chairman of this projeet, and some changes have been initiated this year. The Auction will take p lace at the Paul Giovis Gallery, Oshawa, and many of, the artworks that will be auction- ed will be on display at the Gallery for a week, beginning April 2. A wide range of media including water colours, oiîs, photography, weaving, sculp- ture, silk sereen and batik will be represented at the.Auction. Some of the participating artists are: Tim Campbell, Whitby; Joan Stacy, Sou th Pickering; Jane Dixon, Laurine Sage, Janet McGhee, Joan-Marie Dean, ail of Oshawa; Ed Falkenberg and Sally Wildman, Claremont; George Raab, Maynooth Sta- tion; Michael Behman, Gore's Landing; Neil Newton, Ennis- killen; Irja Ketola, Ajax; Sheila Maki and Sue Tabuchi, Agîncourt; Wilnfia Foley, Peterborough; Ron Baird, Stouffville. The preview will be from 6:OOp.m. to8:OOp.m., with the Auction beginning at 8: 00 p.m. The admission charge will include refreshments and door prizes. O3BITUAIRY ERNEST WADDELL BRADLEY The death occurred in St. Petersburg, Florida, of Ernest Waddell Bradley, aged 82, on Monday, March 5th, 1979. Son of Stuart and Bertha (Waddell) Bradley, he was born in Edwards, Ontario, and was married September !th, 1921 to Orvilla Margaret Skuce. Mr. Bradley, A.A.C.I., came to Durham County in 1946, when he was transferred from the Ottawa District and represented the Veteran 's Land Administration as Set- tiement. Officer for- many years. A resident of Bowmanville at 139 Elgin Street, he was by profession an A.C.C.I. Mr. Bradley, a well known and respected citizen, was a member of Trinity United Church where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Orange Lodge, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a member of the Canadian Expeditionary For- ce, 207th Battalion of the Prin- cess Pats, serving overseas in the third division of the Seven- th Brigade from March 1916 to March 1919. He was truly one of nature's gentlemen of a free spirit, with a gentle and happy soul. Surviving are is wife Or- villa, daughters Norma (Mrs. Don Clarke) Pickering, and Elva (Mrs. Ken Hockin), Bowmanville, and six grand- children. Reverend John Peters of- ficiated at the funeral services held on Thursday at the Morris Funeral Chapel. Palîbearers were Douglas Martin, John Hannah, Oswald Richmond, and three grand- sons Bradley Hockin, Kerry and Kirk Clarke.
