Rudman checked hie and others in a car. H1e had a previous conviction. The fine was $200. or 20 days. Dennis W. Broome, 22, R.R. 1, Blackstock, pleaded 'guilty' to possession of cannabis marijuana January 21. Const. Park investigated. The fine was $125. and costs or 12 days. John DeJager, 22, R.R. 4, Bowmanville, was charged January 14, 'drove after P--ROVINCIAL COURT consuming over .08.' He was westbound on Highway 2 and stopped on a routine investigation. Tests were .13. The fine was $250. or 14 days. Walter John Thiele, 18, R.R. 6, Bowmanville, appeared today for sentencing on a court appearance a few weeks ago. He was charged along with one other 'did attempt to steal batteries from a local dealership. He pleadedý 'guilty.' He also pleaded, 'guilty' to having goods in his possession knowing them to have been stolen. Consts. Buntsma and Read investigated. H1e pleaded 'guilty' to disobeying a pre- vious probation order. He also failed to appear at a previous court date. H1e was r;epresent- ed by K. Van Nest. Judge Bark told him 'it was the type of people he was keeping company with who are going to keep him in trouble. If you mend your ways, now is the time to start. If you get in fur- ther trouble it will be jail.' He was placed on probation for one year, to report once a month to officer. He is to do 75 hours of community service work with a minimum- of 3 hours per week, until completed. William, Binks, R.R. 2, Pickering, was charged April 13 'did take 5 railway ties not exceeding $100. He pleaded 'guilty.' The fine was $125. or 12 days. John Charles Rogers, R.R. 6, Cobourg, pleaded 'guilty' to driving after consuming over .08 on April 23. Tests were .12 and .10. The fine was $200. or 14 days with license suspension. Stephen A. Adcock, R.R. 1, Orono, was charged March 8 'drove after, consuming over .08.' He pleaded 'guilty.' Two officers observed him on King St. H1e was driving erratically. Tests were .11.
