ANNIE BARNETT A resident of Oshawa since 1956, who had previously lived at R.R. 4, Bowmanville (Provindence), Mrs. Annie Barnett, passed away in Oshawa General Hospital on Thursday, May 24, 1979. She had been in. failing health for the past year, was a resident at Extendicare Nursing Centre. The former Annie Salt was born April 20, 1891, in Ellastone, England, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William SaIt. She was married in 1916, in Burton On Trent, England to Arthur Bennett, who predeceased ber in 1954. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs.. James Howard (Esther) of Troy, Mich., two sons, Derek of Orono and Brian of Kingston; and 10 grandchildren. She was the last of her family. Mrs. Barnett rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home. Funeral service was held in Christ Memorial Anglican Church, Monday at 1:30 p.m., followed hy cremation. Canon Donald Beatty officiated. Ashes will be entered beside ber husband at Burton-On- Trent, England. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated. MRS. ANNA BORYSENKO A resident of Canada since 1956, and Oshawa since 1969, Mrs. Anna Borysenko of 635 Christie Avenue, Oshawa died suddenly at. Humber Memorial Hospital, Toronto, Thursday, May 24, 1979. The former Anna Nepiyko was born Jan. 26, 1908, in Nahaîna, in the Ukraine, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ilia Nepiyko. She was a member of St. John Ukrainian Ortbodox Church and of Oshawa Senior Citizens' Club. Her husband, Peter Borysenko, died Feb. 17, 1975. She is survived by two daugbters, Mrs. Michael Nosowenko (Vera) of Bowmanville, and Mrs. Gregory Barlowsky (Maria) of Denver, Colorado; a son, Alex, of Toronto; a sister, Martba, in the Ukraine; seven grandchildren, and two great grandcbildren, and ber stepinother, Vekla Bondar, in the Ukraine. Mrs. Borysenko rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home. Funeral service was in St. John Ukrainian Orthodox Cburch Saturday, at 9:30 a.m., with interment in Oshawa Union Cemetery. Rev. Taras Slavchenko officiated. Prayers were recited at the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m. parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Souch.
