Bowmanvile Atoms Tie Piekering in 1-1 Decision In a hard-fought game at the Bowmanville High School, Bowmanville United Major Atoms, sponsored by Checkers Variety, tied Pickering 1 - 1. The first haîf saw Bowman- ville doing most' of the attacking.' Gareth Stone scored after some good work by Glen Campbell. The second haîf was completely different as Pickering did ail the attacking. Midway through the haif they tied il up on a nice goal by their inside forward. If it had flot been for Ted Groves in the Bowmanville net, Pickering would have had an easy win. Good game, Ted.
