BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO, JULY 11, 1979 SECTION TWO On the waterfront. Canoe races and log rolling attracted a number of contestants and spectators during Bowmanvifle Week. Mike Kirkton, of Bowmanville, placed second ini the annual Bowmanville Week fiddle contest. Winning bed-racing team in the ladies division. This furry creature at the Ieft seemed to eajoy meeting children who took part in the Bowmanville Week events on Thursday, July 5. The Newcastle Community Services Department sponsored an afternoon of fun and games at the Bowmanville Week tent near the marina. Bruce Black, of Oshawa, finished third Fiddlers three.
