Bowmanville High School took on Eastdale Collegiate from Oshawa last Thursday afternoon in the opening game of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Association (LOSSA) soccer season. The second half started with Bowmanville tying the score when Dan Richie scored1 from the penalty spot, the play theri going from end to end before a Hampton defender had the misfortune to score in his own net, making the- score 2-1 Bowmanville. But Hampton started to press hard for the equalizer and were rewarded with a goal from Ron Hopcroft to tie the game 2-2.
