Mario Gorny, 20, of 297 Chadburn Cres., in Oshawa, will appear at a, preiiminary hearing in Bowmanviile provincial court on November 21. Favourite Recipes MILK CHOCOLATE RUSSE (Makes 6 servings) two-thirds cup sugar 2 envelopes unfiavored gelatin Y4 teaspoon sait 3 egg yolks 1 and two-third cups water 11/ cups (9-ounces) semi- sweet chocolate chips % teaspoon vanilla 3 egg whites ½/ cup Carnation Instant 51dm Miik Powder 1/ cup ice water 2 tablespoons orange juice 12 split lady fingers Combine one third cup sugar, gelatin, and sait in large saucepan. Beat egg yolks with water; stir into gelatin mixture. Add chocolate chips. Cook over- medium-iow heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin As compieteiy dissolved and chocolate is melted. Remove from heat. Beat with rotary beater until chocolate is blended. Stir in vanilia. Chili, stirring occasionally, untîl mixture mounds from spoon. Beat egg whites until sof t peaks form. Graduaiiy add remaining one-third cup sugar; beat until stiff peaks form and sugar lis dissoived. Foid into chocolate mixture. Combine skim miik powder and ice water;- beat to soft peaks (3-4 minutes). Add orange juice. Continue beating until stiff peaks form (3-4 minutes longer). Fold into chocolate mixture. Line sides and bottom of 9-inch spring formf pan with lady fingers. Pour mixture into lined pan. Chili until firm. PEPPERMINT STICK PIE (Makes one 9-inch p ie) 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon sait 11/ cups chopped nuts 2 tablespoons melted butter 1/ cup finely crushed pepper- /mint candies 1/ teaspoon peppermint extract Few drops red food coloring 1 L softened vanilia ice cream + 1 cup (6-ounce package) sweet chocolate chips 3/ cup undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk Combine sugar, sait, nuts, and butter. Press into bottom and sides of pie plate. Bake in moderate oven (400 degrees F.): 6 tô 8 minutes. Cool, then chili. Stir peppermint candihes, peppermint extract and food coloring into ice cream. Return to freezer (about 4 hours). Combine chocolate chips and evaporated milk in small saucepan. Cook over low beat, stirring constantiy, until chocolate meits. Beat with a rotary beater until chocolate is biended. Cool. Aternate layers of pepper- mint ice cream and chocolate sauce in chilled crust. Wrap and freeze (about 2 hours). Place in refrigerator 12 hour before cutting and serving. + One litre peppermint ice cream may be substituted for vanilla ice cream. In a decision last week, Regional Council vetoed the idea of retaining its current commîttee structure in the upcoming year. As a result, regional councillors will have the opportunîty of forming new public works, social services, finance, planning and management committees for 1980. Eacb of the 30 councillors bas the task of sitting on one standing committee. Council voted to form new committee for its second year in office after a close vote was taken. Durham Regionai Chairman Walter Beath broke a tie vote on the issue, casting bis vote in favor of a change in committees in the upcoming year. The town's finance and administration commlttee, after hearing the museum's request, voted that the mat- ter be referred to the towa's public works department.
