For receiving the guests at the reception held at the Lions Centre, Bowmanville, the bride's mother wore a celery green formal gown and the groom's mother assisted wearing a blue chiffon formal gown. Both wore wrist corsages of roses. Ian Brennan was master of cere- monies and Lawrence Green- wood, uncle of the bride, proposed the toast to the bride. Leaving for a camping trip to Northern Ontario the bride wore a dusty pink sundress with beige accessories and corsage of pink roses. The newlyweds will reside in London, where the groom is completing graduate studies at Western Oniversity. Prior to her marriage the bride's aunts, Gladys Green- wood and Joan Ard, hosted a family shower. Billi Kemp and Georgie Dalrymple hosted a miscellaneous shower and a neighborhood camping shower was held at the home of Lillian Syer. The staff of Westminster Day Care, London, where the bride is employed, presented the couple with shower and wedding gifts. T Engineering Expenses After learning that they have spent well over $100,000 on engineering fees and expenses so far this year, Newcastle councillors voted Tuesday to refer a report on this topic to their finance and administration committee. "I'd like an understanding of what's before us," said Councillor Ann Cowman after a brief discussion of how much the municipality has spent on the engineering services of Totten Sims Hubicki Associates. The firm has served as the town's engineer- ing consultants on various projects since the Town of Newcastle was formed in1974. In a report prepared by municipal staff, it was noted that the municipality has spent $161,341.06 on 35 projects in which Totten Sims Hubicki has served as consultants. The previous year, $174,977.14 was spent on a similar number of projects undertaken by the firm.
