November 7. 1979 Graduates Return.for Cartwright High's Commencement On Saturday night, the community centre at Blackstock was filled with relatives, friends and graduates of Cartwright Hligh School, returning for the annual Commencement Exercises. A lovely Indian Summer Sunday was only one of the inducements for attendance at the Sunday A.M. Service. SThe Children's Story was entitled "Signposts" and had many eager listeners to hear about a sign that had been misleading as it was turned around by Hallowe'en goblins. Following the Children's Prayer and Hymn the S.S., pupils and teachers moved to the S.S. Room for the S.S. Period. The Ladies Choir Number was a delightful, musical message in their anthem. The Sermon's topic was "Do This While You're Resting" as our minister explained how the promised rest was flot enjoyed by some because of lack of interest in God. He stated God rested when he completed the creation. He concluded with the urgent appeal to hear God's promise of peace and rest. Coming Events are: 1.
