OSHAWA (2 Blocks East of Park Road) 571-1777 Reservations and Major Credit Cards Jàm ýIWTHE Lyle Slack wrote of them in the Hamilton Spectator after a recent concert - "Ahl five are more than competent musicians. Larry Good's fingers fairly blurr with speed of his banjo plucking and fingering. Brian's acoustic guitar twanged with an authentic southern sound and Bruce's autoharp offered a strong melody similar to the claccichord." Reviews like that are more the rule than the exception when the Good Brothers play. The coming of Carl Keyes has meant the addition of several Canadian fiddle tunes to the Good Brothers repertoire, including an old French Canadian tune, The Pea Soup Reel. It is almost impossible to keep still while this tune is being played. And The Back Forty Rip-Off writ- ten by a friend of Carl's fromn out west, is such a joyful song that it almost sounds as though the fiddle were laugh- ing. Michael McMaster's bass adds depth and a steady beat to the Good Brothers' songs, playing neither too soft nor too loud but blending in perfectly. Together, they are doing more than their part to spread the gospel of newgrass, or glittergrass across the country. The credo of this gospel is merely to enjoy the music and have a good time, which is something the Goods do every time they are on stage. 3:30 Rescue, 4:00 Focus On 4:30, McLaughlin Art Gallery Presents.. 5:00 Education Scene 5:30 Evening Report 6:00 Storybook House 6:15 Happiness is Bowling 6:30 Durham Sports Scene witdi Dave Bookman 7:00 Bishop's Appeal 8:00o Sign Off Friday, November 9th 2: 00 Expression - Canada Savings Bonds 2:30 Durham Sports Scene 3:00 Let's Discuss t 4:00 What Does the Bible Say? 4:30 Bishop's Appeal 5:30 Yoce Italiana 6:30 Sign Off Monday, November 12th 4:00 Sign on for the Deaf 4:30 Motor City Bowling Roll-Offs 5:30 Expression 6:00 The Storybook House 6:15 Happiness is Bowling.. 6:30 Speaking to You with Scott Feneil, M.P.
