It was announced that the club had again concluded its season-with a surplus. In the award presentations, from left to right, Eric Moore is holding the 'Bud' Rolph Memorial trophy donated by the Carman family to the winning team; Brian Foster won the Roy Sleep Memorial trophy for his contribution to basebail in Kendal, Most Valuable Player Ralph Kennedy is holding the John Holman trophy; he also won the pitching trophy. Pete Hender- son won the batting trophy and Mike Robinson won the sportsmanship trophy. J.R. The eams were ied 1-1 after 2 as both eams missed numerous scoring chances. The third period saw both teams open up with Whitby outscoring the home team 4 goals to 2. Scoring for the Toros were Barry Cullen, Rick Erwin and Steve Cary. Erwin also drew 2 assists while others went Lo Brad Clemens and Derek Laurie. On Saturday, the Drug Store crew dropped Oshawa Little N.H.L. Bruins 9-1 in an exhibition contest. This game saw the Toros uleash a powerful attack with Rod Plain leading the way witb a bat trick. Ed Osborne notched a pair and added 3 assists. Singles went to Clemens, Brian Ruddy, Scott Michelson and Scott Hillier. Assisting were Laurie 2, Michelson 2, Cullen 2, Ruddy 2, Clemens, Roîf Geisler and'Chris Dyck. Sunday, Nov. 25, Ajax urned off the Toros attack Drap sMidget with a bard fought 4-2 victory. After a scoreless iirsL, the teams excbanged markers in the second. In the thîrd, Ajax outscored the Toros 3-1. Clemens and Cullen scored the Bowmanville goals and Dyck, Plain, Hillier and Rucldy assisted. Toros bave a tougb week next week as they play a borne and borne series witb Mark- ham. Philip did a tremendous job for us, holding the Markham squad to only three goals. However, the Toros could notgeL untracked in the grime and were held scoreless. In Lwo previous meetings this year, Markham trounced us badly. Neither team could geL anything going in the game and as a result the play xvms at imes very scrambly and unorganized. Our boys were making some nîce individual pîmys buLtbey were not' working very well as a unit. We had several power play opportunities in the grime but could net capitalize -on Lhem. A little more hustle from the boys and we crin beat Markham. On Sunday, Dec. 2nd, the Delta Faucet Minor PeeWees played the Oshawa Little N.H.L. Red Wings at Manvers Arena and the game ended in a 2-2 ie. The game really belonged to, the Red Wing netminder, who, after being beaten twice In the first period by Toros' sharp- shooter, did not allow another goal in spite of being under constant pressure from the Bowmanville boys. Toros had three power play opportun- ities and applied good pressure against Oshawa on each occasion but could not beat the little Oshawa goalie. Scorîng for Toros in the game were Barry Newbook who had positioned himself in front of the net and banged in a rebound.
