I was in Moose Jaw last night and there was a valuable homestead and pre-emption open for entry to-day and it was quite a sight to see the people around the homestead office trying to get first place. On a lamp post there was a sign that the tickets would be given out in rotation from the North side of that particular post, and three men were hanging on to it as if their very lives depended depended on their success in holding their places. Saskatchewan. -There is still- quite a lot of last year's grain in the country, but as soon as navigation - opens. it will be^ot out. Many young people from the East are settling in this Province.- We haVe long held the opinion and advocated advocated it too, that the best co-operative union that can be effected in this country at the present time is a political alliance between wage-workers and farmers^--the two great producing classes. These two classes have a common cause. If they read the political papers and watch carefully carefully the legislation passed in parliament they must see that mighty little is enact ed in the interest of either class. No Conservative Government was ever known in England or Canada to legislate for the working classes. Trace the political history history of Canada for two centuries and what measure of relief from the burdens of the wage-earners has eyer been placée on the statute books by a Conservative administration ? Working-men have" been he slaves of politicians and it is high time :hat they realized that they have repeat edly helped to elect their. ' worst enemies into office. Take a leaf from your own experience, workingmen, and think for moment what consideration you have received received from the. man for whorn you votec at the last Dominion or Provincial elections. elections. Have you seen one act of either parliamentary representative that was in your interest as a wage-earner ? They lave never been round to see you to ask what they can do for you or to ask your advice or to take yoa into their confidence confidence and counsel. They claim to represent represent you but do they ever think of you? Very unlikely. Workingmen and farmers, farmers, the sooner you do as German working working classes did some years " ago, namely, unite to elect men to political office who will see that justice is given to men and women who are the revenue producers in the country, the sooner you will receive your just treatment by the governments of Canada.
