DURHAM DISTRICT DIVISION. Durham District Division was held at Solina Sons' Hall Friday. The attendance attendance was very large, all of the Divisions being well represented. During the afternoon an initiation contest was put on by Solina and Taunton which was very creditably done by both teams, the judges giving their decision in favor of the former. former. Committees were appointed to try and set in motion some Divisions which are now defunct, Enfield, Tyrone, Enniskillen Enniskillen and others. There are several sec- -trqns of Cadets of Temperance in the District and steps will be taken to try and organize more. In the" evening the Hall was crowded and an excellent program was rendered. Rev. J. Geo. Miller, P. G. W. P., of St. Mary's gave an excellent address address as did also Rev. C. W. Barrett. Mr. Walter Rickard, Newcastle, sang a patriotic patriotic song composed by Mr. R. L. Werry, Montreal. Others on the program were Miss Florence Cameron, Miss Lymer, Mr. Hilbert Trevail, Mr. A. L. Pascoe, Miss Margaret Pascoe and choruses by Taunton Taunton Division. The meeting closed with the National anthem. The Banner was awarded to Taunton Division. Mr. Trewin was taken immediately to Dr. Slemon's office, and after to his son Sid's. He was seriously injured, having three broken ribs--one a double fracture--and other injuries. The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. Trewin League consecration service last week was in charge of Miss Grace Slemon. Besides the regular meeting meeting and a talk by the war correspondent, Rev. W. E. Honey, and duets by Missès Helena and Alma Werry, and Winnie and Reta Ashton, Mrs. H. J. Werry read the paper given by Miss Florence Osborne, Osborne, and Dr. Slemon read the papfer given by himself at Ôrono convention. Altho the night was unfavorable there were thirty-five attended.
