Brent, contributed an abundance abundance of music, Miss Florence Clemens efficiently discharging the duties of organist. organist. The platform was tastefully decorated decorated with red, white and blue bunting and small Union Jacks. The congregations were large at both services and ably res ponded to the call of the superintendent by contributing over $75. The secretary, Mr. Alex. Staples, and treasurer, Mr. Lionel Byam, presented very gratifying reports showing a splendid increase in numbers. Pastor Higgs assisted at the evening service. A number of .our W.M.S. workers attended the District Convention at Ebenezer and report splendid splendid sessions and royal entertainment A Woman's Institute meeting will be held in the schoolhouse at 2.30 p.m. of this week when Dr. S. L. Fotheringham, Toronto, will give an address. All ladies invited to attend Rev. W. E. Honey occupied Port Perry pulpit twice Sunday, also teaching the A. B. Class in the afternoon. Victoria Day Methodist anniversary was a record breaker in regard both to the crowd and the financial success, the finances being over $100 in advance of any former year. In addition to this, a perfect day and a first class concert sent the audience of over six hundred people to their homes well satisfied that they had had a good day, the only marring event being a serious accident to Mr. Fred Adams who played in the Enniskillen Enniskillen football team and had his leg broken broken in two places. Dr. L. B. Williams, Toronto, and Dr. C. W. Slemon had him conveyed to his home where they set the limb. The score at the time of the accident accident was a tie,.0-0, and the game was not finished as the accident upset our boys' nerves. Much sympathy, which will take a practical form, is felt for Mr. and Mrs. Adams. On Sunday Rev. R. Bamforth, Port Perry, gave two of the best anniversary discourses ever given hère, addressing the children in the morning. morning. The music by the school was much enjoyed, and in the evening the choir was assisted by Miss G. Stevens, Peter- boro who sang "Ave Maria" by Schubert, and Mr. W. Owens sang "Just when I need Him most". On Monday after partaking partaking of a most appetizing supper the crowd made their way to the tent which was filled to' its utmost .capacity. The program presented by the entertainers was excellent, and'was equal to that of any previousuyear. The Excelsior Male Quartet, Toronto, were heartily welcomed as it was not their first visit, and they fully sustained their former reputation. Miss Gertrude Stevens, Peterboro, was the soloist of the evening and her sweet contralto voice and pleasing appearance as she took her part, won for her the hearty applause of her hearers. She was accompanied on the piano by Prof. J. Edward Fisher, Peterboro, who delighted the audience with a humorous musical sketch and a piano solo. Mr. W. Easson Brovrn, graduate pupil of Owen A. Smily, Toronto, made his first appearance .here as àn entertainer and proved himself to be an artist of exceptional ability. . His numbers, humorous and otherwise,, were well received and he responded generously generously to repeated encores. Mr. Will Owens, Lindsay, assisted on the program in song and reading and was enthusiastically recalled. recalled. Proceeds about $290. Mrs. Jos. Armour is again on the sick list Mr. S.
