Clarke was in Toronto Toronto Monday attending a meeting of the Superannuation Board of thé Methodist Church. He was successful in his appeal for relief from this fund for Rev. Geo. Bodies Belleville. The Ontario Sunday School Association Association will hold its 51st Annual Convention in Smith's Falls, October 25, 26 and 27th and at Kitchener, Nov. 1,2 and 3. The program of the Convention lays special stress upon the modern movements in Religious Religious Education and types of Community Community effort. Special Parallel Sessions are devoted to the three main divisions, El ementary, Secondary and Adult. Twin Sessions for country and city workers are also planned. About seventy members of Court Pride of Ontario No. 6000, A. O. F. attended service in the Disciples' Church Sunday morning when Rev. G. C. Weisman preached preached a splendid sermon on " i he Good Samaritan." Samaritan." The choir rendered good music, a solo being sung by Mr. Ernest Robbins. Mr. W. Painton acted as marshall, and on their return to the Lodge room the members members moved a hearty vote of thanks to the Preacher, and Church Officials for the favors accorded them. St John's church Harvest Festival Services Services were held Sunday and large congregations congregations attended both services. Prof. H. W. Mowll, B. A., Toronto, gave two excellent excellent sermons. A full attendance of the choir was present and special anthems well sung, the soloists, Miss Greta Scott, Mrs. Alexander, Mr. W. Densem and Mr. Roland Bate were in fine voice. The church was beautifully decorated and the church Wardens thank all those who helped helped to make the festival such a success. Prof. Mowll also addressed the Sunday School in the afternoon. The topic at the Epworth League in the Methodist Church Monday evening was "Egertdti Ryerson" and was ably presented presented by Miss Lillie McLean who outlined his life and showed what a prominent part he took in forming the Educational system of Ontario jn the early days. Rev. H. B. Neal occupied the chair and Miss Myrtle Cole read the Scripture lesson. The musical musical numbers consisted of a pretty piano duet by Miss Ina Pethick and Miss Emma Alcumback, a vocal solo by Master Stuart Bassett and a chorus "When your boy comes back to you" by ten girls, all of which were much enjoyed. All were pleased to see Rev. (Capt.) W. G. Clarke present and to hear his few remarks and words of encouragement. The attendance attendance was especially good.
