A., principal of Mitchell High School, former principal of our High School, in a note to the editor editor calls attention to the fact that Lieut. Eric Lockhart, B. A. Sc., whose death was reported last week is one more old B. H. S. boy to give his life for the empire. He spent a year in Bowmanville studying honor mathematics under Mr. Elliott and then went on to the University graduating graduating from the faculty of Applied Science to go to the front. He was looked upon as a fine manly lad when a student here. Another excellent young fellow who came from Newcastle to Bowmanville school about the same time was Douglas Davidson. He graduated as B. A. Sc. and went west for a while but is now in khaki at Petewawa waiting his turn to go to the front. Mr. Elliott is following with sympathetic interest the careeFof of the students whom he learned to know during his seven years' principalship here. OBITUARY. Mrs. W. J. Moore, Kingston. In the passing away of Mrs. W. J. Moore at her late residence, 333 Earl-st, Kingston, June Iijthe city loses one of its finest and most highly respected residents. residents. She was married to WUIiam John Moore and was the loving mother of four boys and one girl.
