Summer Courses at Arts Centre Although the Visual Arts Centre fall season is ending, many activities have been scheduled for the Centre during the summer months. An artist in residence program, program, a pottery workshop, a lecture on Indian and Innuit culture, and a summer art program are some of the upcoming upcoming activities. From Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7, a workshop on watercolor and oil painting will be given by artist in residence, Paul Thrane. Mr. Thrane is a professional artist who mak'ès his home near Tweed, Ontario, He is the winner of awards for his art in Canada and the U.S. and has taught at Loyalist College for the past five years. A pottery workshop will be offered Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6. On Wednesday, June 17, a lecture and workshop on woodland Indians and Innuit culture will be held, with a representative of the McMichael Canadian Gallery serving as instructor. This event will include a printmaking printmaking workshop, A summer art program at the mill will be featured in July and it will include water- color, oil painting, and life drawing for adults. In addition, there will be a program for children at the centre during the summer. Registration for fall courses will commence in mid- September.
