Meeting On Wednesday evening, September 15th, Shiloh U.C.W. met at the home of our President Mrs. Ruth Andrews with 18 ladies present. We were pleased to welcome a new member to our group, Mrs. Sheila McNamara. The meeting was opened with the singing of the hymn "How Firm a Foundation". Mrs. Ellen Farrow gave the devotional and prayer with the scripture reading by Mrs. Mary-Lou Fonk, As July and August were holiday months, the minutes of our last meeting in June were read, also treasurer's report and correspondence. "Happy Birthday" was sung to Ada Hallowell, Mary Caswell, Bernice Stark, Suzanne West- heuser and Joan Murphy as they paid their birthday money. We decided to cater for a wedding anniversary in early November. On Sunday, November 14th, a community pot luck dinner will be held at the church starting at 12 o'clock noon. Everyone is to turn out to clean the church basement on Wednesday, November 10th. Our Fall Anniversary services at Shiloh United will be held on Sunday, October 17th at 2:30 p.m. with guest speaker Rev. Wright of Orono and music provided by the 4 M's from Newtonville. Pictures from our Mock Wedding in June were shown and much enjoyed by all. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday evening, October 20th at the church.
