In other sports happenings at B.H.S. both the junior and senior girls' basketball teams commenced their exhibition schedule Thursday against Courtice High School. At Courtice the junior team defeated Courtice's juniors by four points on the strength of Cindy Stephenson's 20 points. Meanwhile in the Bowmanville gym B.H.S.'s Bernadette Francis was leading the senior team to a 39-8 drubbing of the Courtice seniors. Bernadette scored 18 of Bowmanville's points. Both teams were also to have played on Monday against Eastdale Collegiate in Oshawa. Finally this week the B.H.S. cross-country running team will compete in a meet at Pickering today. B.H.S.
