Bolahoods Cowans Earn Wins by Ted Brown The Commercial Hockey League played its second weekend of action on Sunday. The most noticeable feature of the game was the strong goal tending turned in by all four of the goalies. In the first game only a single shot by Bolahood's Terry Baker eluded the grasp of Frank's goalie Britt Murphy. This was on a passing play from Phil Manganelli and Mike Cornell. For the rest of the game all dangerous scoring opportunities opportunities were smothered by the alert goalies or their helping defencemen. The second game although more wide open also featured good goal tending. The game was a 2 - 2 tie going into the third period, but Cowans really poured it on to score 4 late goals and take a 6 - 2 win away from Spencers. Scoring for Cowans- were last year's scoring champ Sam Allin (1 goal 3 assists), Joey Burns (1 goal), Steve Hogarth (1 assist), Wayne Whiteman (1 assist), Barry Brunt (1 goal 1 assist), Mark Ellis (1 goal), and Arnold Nicolson (2 goals 1.assist).
