On Friday, October 29, the Durham-Northumberland Progressive Conservative Association will host a dinner and social evening in the Port Hope Legion Hall, Toronto Road, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The event will pay tribute to the Hon. Allan Lawrence. p.C., M.P., on the occasion of his 10th anniversary as an elected member in the Riding. Tickets are available from the Construction of the new addition to the Scugog Fire Hall in Port Perry likely will be complete early next month. The minister of Newcastle village United Church replaces the Rev. Wayne Chatterton, minister of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Bowmanville. During an election which was held last week the Rev. Arthur Amacher, assistant minister of Trinity Church, was named the organization's secretary-treasurer. The two men are shown above. DEREK KEITH LOBB Derek Keith Lobb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lobb, Bowmanville, graduated on Friday, October 1,1982, at the fall Convocation, University of Guelph, with a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences.
