LlH 8B6 •45-1S and main- Obituary JOHN McGILLIVRAY The death of John McGillivray, aged 44, occurred suddenly- on Monday, November 1st, 1982, in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville. Born at Ellon Aberdeenshire, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and educated in Scotland, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. McGillivray. On April 25th, 1964, he was married, in Scotland to Alison Gow, and immegrated to Canada in 1967. A resident of 27 Second Street, Bowmanville for five months, he had previously resided in Sauit Ste. Marie for 12 years, and at 49 Loscombe Drive, Bowmanville. He was a professional carpenter for 29 years, and had been employed by Ontario Hydro at the Darlington Generating Station. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Sauit Ste. Marie, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and of the Carpenter's Union Local 397. Mr. McGillivray served two years- in the Black Watch Corp. of the British Army spending some of that time in Cyprus. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Alison, sons Steven and Derek, a daughter Donna, brothers Charles of Corunna, Ontario, Willie, Fraser, Sandy, Arthur, George, James, Mary, Bella, Eve and Margaret, all of Scotland. He was predeceased by a sister Jean McGillivray. The Reverend Wayne Chatterton, of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, officiated at the funeral services held on Wednesday, at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home. Cremation.
