Holds Annual Dinner Members of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority held their draw for a doll house and furniture on Monday, December 13. Joan Tremeer (right), head of the ways and means committee, is shown here with the winning ticket, while Carolyn McLachlan, a member of the committee, looks on. The winner of the draw was Helen Montgomery, of R.R.2, Orono. She held ticket number 35. The draw is the sorority's annual fund-raising project. Money raised from the event will be used for community service work. In game No. 1 Sunday night, Kelly's Excavating finally got it together and outscored Bros. Pizza 6 - 5. The win for Kelly's was their first after suffering seven straight losses. The loss for Bros. Pizza now gives them a record of 4 wins and 5 losses. Pee Wee Selects hosted Port Hope Pee Wees and came away 6 - 0 victors. Paul Brunt opened the scoring midway through the second period on a beautiful three-way passing play from Steven Bizi and Greg Healey. Brunt increased the count to 2 - 0 slapping in a rebound from Bizi after Mike Mosley's point blast was deflected on goal. Tim Smith made the score read 3 - 0 on a solo effort after intercepting a Port Hope clearing pass. Bizi who had a big night slapped in the fourth I.O.O.F. goal assisted by Brunt and Healey, who was superb throughout the game. Tim Smith scored the 5th marker on passes from Terry Kellett and David Reid. Kellett closed out the scoring on a beautiful set up by Smith. The whole team had an excellent game, headmaning tne puck and clearing our zone. Strong games defensively defensively were had by Shane Crombie, Kevin Flintoff, Greg Merkac, Andrew Rice and Mark Vanderheyden. Larry Newhook had the shut out for the "Selects".
