Born at Colraine, Ireland, and educated in Ireland, he was married December 11th, 1926, to Lydia Mawdsley, An employee of General Motors, he retired 10 years ago. He was a veteran of the second world war. OBITUARY FRANCIS (FRANK) JAMES STUBBERT A resident of Bowmanville for 26 years, Francis (Frank) James Stubbert, aged 73, passed away in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Tuesday, December 21st, 1982 following an illness of several months. Born in Nova Scotia and educated at Florence, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Stubbert. On March 22nd, 1931, he married the late Helen Whyte who passed away in 1963. Mr. Stubbert was employed on the housekeeping staff of Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, Bowmanville, retiring eight years ago. He was a member of Trinity United Church. Left to mourn his passing are his sons Francis and Reginald, daughters Marilyn (Mrs. Charles Nash), Mamie (Mrs. Boyd Woolley), grandchildren grandchildren Rod, Louise, Kevin, Shawn, Helen and Chuck, a sister Pearl (Mrs. James Jobe) and a brother Justin Stubbert, of Nova Scotia. Funeral services were held at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Thursday, with the Reverend Arthur Amacher officiating. Mrs. J, Albert Cole presided at the chapel organ. Pallbearers were George and Joe Whyte, Rick James, Lawrence Cascagnette, Ozzie Scully and Jim Murphy. Many beautiful floral tokens were received attesting to the esteem in which th# deceased was held, including tributes from Memorial Hospital Staff, General Motors staff and employees, Durham Board of Education and T. F. Rehder and staff. Interment BoWmanville Cemetery.
