Their guest, the Worthy Grand Patron of Ontario, Mr. Brian Lee, presented Mr. Pring with the appointment of Grand Representative to the State of West Virginia in Ontario. A good suggestion to help keep crayons and chalk from breaking when used by little children is to wrap the crayons and chalk, individually, individually, with adhesive tape. Box 36, Bowmanville Postal Service Improves Latest performance figures released by Canada Post Corporation show there has been a noticeable improvement improvement in Canada Post's Nationwide Nationwide Service over the past year. On-time delivery of First Class Mail improved in every month of 1982 compared with the same month in 1981. JFor example, in December 1982 National on-time delivery of First Class Mail was 85.5 per cent, compared with 79.5 per cent for tne same month the previous year. In November, November, on-time delivery of all First Class Mail was 91.3 per cent, compared with 84.3 per cent in November 1981. Compared with the 1970's, when on-time records for December December were as low as 58 per cent in 1977, the December 1982 figures are the best in a decade. The performance results are based on a comprehensive test procedure involving thousands thousands of letters eveiy two weeks. This mail, which receives receives no special handling, traces the flow among the 35 largest Postal Offices in the. Country, as well as for individual individual cities. The results are checked against similar tests conducted independently by some of Canada Posts Customers. Customers. Quebec City, Fredericton and Toronto, for example, show local First Class results well above 90 per cent on-time delivery. Other centres are close to or exceed this figure. These and other statistics in the third Performance Report of Canada Post Corporation confirm a trend of steady improvement improvement in Canada Post's service performance. The Corfioration will continue to monitor this progress to ensure ensure that Canadians will receive receive the First-Rate Postal Service they deserve. Canada Post will release reports regularly on service performance regardless of the results.
