A number of awards were presented to long time blood donors at the Red Cross Clinic on Wednesday at the Lions Centre. Some of those involved in the presentation included, 1-r, Awards Chairman Georgie Dalrymple, Philip Vanhartingsveldt, 35 donations; Jack Dunn, 50; Ron Brooks, 50; Laura Vanhaverbeke, 50; Helen Vanderspruit, 50. Walter Piersma, not pictured, had completed his 75th donation, Marjorie Lyle her 50th and Peter Louws 50 and a busload of Clarke High School students also donated blood. There were 58 new donors and not a groundhog, who popped in at our blood donor clinic on Feb. 2nd.
