The Devotional focused on the theme of Love and Hymns, The King of Love, My Shepherd Shepherd Is, and Love Divine All Loves Excellent were capably played by Mrs. Annabelle Rickard. Mrs. George Allin read beautifully the scripture lesson from 1 John Chapter 4, verses 7 to 21. A selection on eternal love entitled, Heaven is for Dancing, written by Catherine Marshall was ready by Sheila Stiles. The program was a journey down nostalgia lane. Finlay, Agricultural Representative New Ontario Corn Producers Association Under the sponsorship of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, Agriculture, a new organization called the, "Ontario Corn Producers Producers Association" has been formed. A constitution and by-laws were approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dennis Timbrell, on December 29,1982. The organization's mandate is to supply information to government, industry and other agricultural groups regarding regarding the problems, interests and views of corn growers. The membership fee is $25. The Association will be run by a board of fifteen producers representing all areas of the province, Issues to be addressed by this new organization include negotiations of handling and drying charges by elevators, premium prices paid for premium premium grades of corn, eligibility eligibility of Ontario corn prices for Advance Payment Program, improved marketing and trade information, and the development of new markets for Ontario corn. Agricultural Leaders to Meet The Annual Meeting of the Durham East 4-H Club Leaders Leaders Association will be held Friday, February 11th at the Agricultural Office, Bowmanville. Bowmanville. At that time, Club Leaders will be making plans for the upcoming 4-H year. In addition addition to the standard clubs, such as: dairy, beef, swine, sheep and veterinary science, it is hoped that some new clubs can be offered to the rural youth of this area. 4-H Agricultural Clubs for young people ages 12 to 19 offer programs, whereby, young people Learn to Do by Doing. Each member has a project of their choice to raise or carry on through the 4-H season. At the present time, a 4-H Financial Management Club has been organized for members 16 to 19 years of age.
