The Chapter opened in regular form under the leadership of Worthy Matron Sister Joyce Taylor assisted by Worthy Worthy Patron Brother, Sam Cawker and their corp of officers. Sister Joyce had the honour of extending a cordial welcome to many dignitaries, including Past Grant Patron Brother Jim Heffel of Ottawa, Ottawa, P.D. D. G.M. Sister Vera Heffel, D.D.G.M. Sister Erline Finnie of Scarborough, P.D.D.G.M.'s Sisters Thelma Beerthuizen, Oshawa, Bessie Cosway, Whitby, Freida Haney and Mary Balston, Sunland. As this was a special night honouring Past Matrons and Patrons a splendid number were greeted by Sister Joyce. Many other sisters and brothers were ' welcomed as well. Blue Ray Officers and members were given a sincere welcome by Brother Sam. During the evening Sister Rose Willoughly was received into the Chapter by Affiliation. A sincere welcome to Sister Rose and trust she will enjoy the fellowship of the members. Due to a special evening, evening, business was kept to a minimum. Before Chapter closed, Past Grant Patron Brother Jim Heffel gave the sisters and brothers an inspirational address leaving many fine thoughts for them to take home. After closing, a draw on a hamper of groceries was of interest - won by Sister Erline Finnie. A tempting buffet lunch was enjoyed very much - convened by Sister Marguerite Mitchell and her committee, bringing to a close a fine evening of fellowship for our Fraternal Order.
