Lunch was served by Mrs. Short and Mrs. Darch for a social half hour, JOHN EDWARD SNOEK The death of John Edward Snoek, aged 28, occurred at London, on Thursday, April 7th, 1983, as the result of a traffic accident. He was the son of Hans and Anne Snoek, of Orono. Born in Bowmanville, he was educated educated at Knox Christian School, Durham Christian High School and Dordt College, Iowa, U.S.A. He was married in 1978 to Wilma Haan, A resident of Hampton for three years, he had previously resided in Peterborough. He had been employed as a truck driver for Gerry's Produce, Port Perry. He was a member of the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church, Bowmanville. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Wilma, two sons David and Matthew, his parents, three brothers, Art, Jim and Robert, four sisters Joyce (Hoekstra), Dorothy (Vandergaast), Wendy and Ellen, his grandmothers Mrs. E. D. M. Snoek and Mrs. B. Kruys, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Rehoboth Church on Saturday, with funeral arrangements arrangements by Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home.
