Meeting On Wednesday evening, April 20th, Shiloh U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. Trudy Souch with 23 ladies present. In the absence of the president, president, the meeting was taken by the Vice-President Mrs. Janet Lynn. Mrs. Gloria Todd opened the devotional with a prayer following following which everyone joined in the singing of the hymn "Where cross the crowded ways of Life", The Bible scriptures scriptures were read by Trudy Souch and Janet Lynn. Mary Caswell read a most interesting interesting article on Rev, Robert Gay of Regina, Sask, Rev. Gay was a minister on our charge some years ago but now works as a chaplain of prisons and hostels for men in Regina for the Regina Presbytery. Hymn "0 Master, let me walk with Thee" was sung and Mary Caswell ended the devotional by saying a prayer. Reports were given by Gloria Todd and Margaret Todd. A note of thanks will be sent to Mr. Frank Stapleton of Newtonville who so kindly sold our baked goods recently at his Auction Barn. Isabelle Trim reported on the top for the embroidered Sniloh Church quilt. Mary Caswell told us about the upcoming sale at the Newtonville church yard in aid of the Manse Committee. Happy Birthday was sung to Marlene Luxton, Ruth Andrews, Barbara Wing, Edna Dobson and Clara Souch. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday evening May 18th at Shiloh church. It was reported that the trees have been planted on the church grounds by Brian Caswell, Ewart Robinson, John Windatt and Suzanne Westheuser. Dorothy Trim gave a very humorous reading "What is a Farmer?" that was enjoyed greatly. Trudy and her group then served a delicious lunch and Ellen thanked ihu ladies.
