Sympathy Our condolences to the Malcolm family in the loss of a beloved Mother - Mrs. Emma Malcolm who passed away during the week. Left to mourn are sons Victor, Nestleton, Harvey Harvey of Yelverton and Ralph of Don Mills, as well as many grandchildren grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emma - in hér prime - was a community minded person - loved by all who knew her - she will be missed by a host of relatives and friends. Our sympathy also to Mr. Marwood McKee of Blackstock in the loss of a loving wife Olive Thompson McKee - and Mrs. Fern Lawson of Nestleton - her sister. Olive was well known throughout the area and will be greatly missed. Blackstock by Joyce Kelly Blackstock area lost another of its esteemed citizens with the passing of Mrs. Marwood McKee McKee after a lengthy illness illness in Port Perry Hospital. The memorial service was held in Port Perry Funeral Chapel. Sympathy is extended to her husband Marwood McKee who remains in Hospital and to her sister, Mrs. Fern Law- son and other relatives. Mrs. Oscar Graham is also a patient in Port Perry Hospital. Better health is wished to both of these folk. A warm welcome home is extended to David Kyte who return- i ed on Saturday evening from a three week business business trip to England. There were 11 tables at the weekly Senior Citizens Card Party with the following winners: 1. Harold Swain-87; 2. Myrtle Gimblett-83; 3. Lu Griffen-78; 4. Emmie Cox-78; 5. Gladys Potts- 77; 6. Many former students of Cartwright High School and their friends returned from various locations to attend the 25th "At Home" of Cartwright Cartwright High School and were weekend guests of their families and friends. On Monday, April 18 the Thursday and Friday Friday night Square Dancers had another mystery tour which ended ended up at Bobcaygeon. The Club Caller there George Ruddock and our own Glenn and Carolyn Dowson provided provided an evening of square dancing fun ending with a bountiful lunch. On April 29 the same group met in the Township Township Hall for the end of the season pot luck dinner and dancing. The callers added to the fun with contests. Albert and Lillian Harper entertained with George Formby songs. An added added pleasure was having former Cartwright residents residents George and Lulu Chant who came; from Parry Sound.
